Some things people ask:

How do I pay?A

There are a few options to pay. You can leave us cash or a check made out to

River Maids LLC or we can send an invoice to your email address and you will be able to pay with a credit or debit card.

Do you clean windows, ovens, fridges, or move furniture?

We do some extras, but it is based on the situation.

For windows we will usually only do the inside, and only what we can reach with a small step ladder.

For appliances we will only clean the inside of the microwave as a regular cleaning item. For some move in move out cleans we will wipe out the fridge.

We will not do the inside of your oven.

As for moving furniture, it can be risky, both for us and your furniture and floors. We will only move what we can slide with your permission.

We will however use every method possible to remove the dust bunnies from your home even if they are hiding under your bed.

Can I be home when you clean?

Absolutely. We do tend to take over whatever area we are cleaning, and dust does fly. So we recommend that you plan on being in another section of the home while we are there. Usually we can clean one part of the house while you are in another area, and then we switch. Communication is key.

What about my pets, will they bother you?

No way. We love your fur babies. Unfortunately most pets do not love all the tools we will be bringing into your home.

Again communication is key. Let us know what we should do with them once we are ready to start up the vacuum cleaner.

We want them to be able to stay in their routine as much as possible, but once we start doing things that are loud and scary they will need to be in a secure place where they feel safe.

What should I do before you arrive?

Do NOT clean! We love what we do, and a "lived in" home is what we prefer.

However there are some things that will lead to you getting the best value out of our services.

-Empty the sink. Dishes take us forever. We don't know what is dishwasher safe or where things go once they are clean. So a full sink means we either waste valuable time or don't get to clean the sink

-Get rid of the garbage and clutter. You don't have to empty the trash just throw things away that aren't important, (like empty shampoo bottles) put the dirty clothes in a hamper, and put away things that we would have to pick up before we clean.

If you would like us to pick up around the house that's not a problem,

it's what we do, just leave us a basket or box to put things in so you can sort them later. Picking something up is easy, it's deciding what to do with it that will take us extra time.

-Wash your bathroom rugs. Throw your gas stove grates in the dishwasher. Leave us clean sheets on the bed. When we are there it is a good time to get some other things freshened up. We can only shake small bathroom rugs so if you have some our visit is a good time to wash them.

Most gas stove grates are dishwasher safe, after we clean the stovetop will be a perfect time to put them back on.

And if you leave a clean set of sheets on your bed we will change it for you.

My house is SO dirty, you won't judge me will you?

We will not. This is what we do. We enjoy it. If you called us it's because you need or want help.

Let us do what we do, so you can do the things you do.

A clean house makes such a difference, and sometimes it can be overwhelming for the homeowner.

For us it is just dirt, for you it's a to do list, it's decisions, it's time and energy that you may not what to use for cleaning.

It's an honor for us to help you, and we hope it gives you freedom to do the things that are important to you.
